Intel Corporation site reported about resignation of its president and CEO Paul Otellini Mr. Otellini has already initiated the procedure for management transfer, which will be completed in six months, when, in May next year, he will leave his post after the annual shareholders' meeting.
The Board of Directors intends to select a successor to Intel Otellini. An official statement said that will be considered own staff of the company, as well as candidates from other party.
Mr. Otellini worked for Intel company for nearly 40 years. In his role as CEO he is since the second quarter 2005. Over the past period, the company under his leadership has earned 107 billion dollars and 23.5 billion dollars paid dividends, increasing its quarterly payout by 181%, from 0.08 to 0.225 dollars.
Under the leadership of Mr. Otellini said the company has demonstrated record-breaking revenue and profit, has had success in strategic areas, including the groundbreaking advances in technology, such as the development of technology and the creation of HKMG transistor Tri-gate.
