In 2013, Intel will offer the tablet platform Clover Trail , which was officially launched one month before the release of Windows 8. In 2014, will be released a single-chip system with code name Valleyview-T (Platform Bay-Trail-T).
SoC will have four cores instead of two in its predecessor, although in the case of Valleyview-T Intel intends to work without the support of Hyper-Threading technology. SGX 545 graphics system will be replaced with a certain solution of the seventh generation (Gen 7): The configuration of Valleyview-T is not reported, but we know that its ability to support API DirectX 11 , display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and stereoscopic video (1080p).
Increased battery life: from 9 to 11 hours of video playback, but, interestingly, in standby Bay-Trail-T will last only 20 days, while its predecessor for the same period has 30 days. However, Intel claims twice the performance per unit of energy used in the new SoC. Frequency of processor cores is increased to 2.1 GHz performance - by up to 60%.
The above slide talk about the less significant changes.
