Yesterday we talked about the possibility to get DDR-2 support with chipset intel x38  ,  intel company prefers to position this chipset for DDR- 3 only. After the first reports in exhibition computex 2007 , it became clear that intel x38 will get DDR-2 support. We propose to study the photographs of some mainboards on base of chipset intel x38. Let us recall that this high end chipset will bring the support to interface PCI express 2.0 and two slots PCI express x16, which work at full speed. Specifically, this special feature allows the chipset intel x38 to support the valuable regime crossFire.  Let us examine the photograph of mainboard gigabyte GA- X 38- DQ6. Four slots DIMM guarantee support to memory DDR 2-800 and DDR 2-1066. North , south bridges and also load-bearing elements are equipped with copper radiators, which are connected with thermal tubes. The mainboard gigabyte GA -X38T-Dq6 has four memory slots DDR 3-1066 and DDR 3-1333. We note that some mainboard producers already talk about the DDR 3-1600 support with chipset intel x38 . Abit company demonstrated the mainboard IX38 quadGT, which also support DDR-2 and three graphic card. Here is the photograph of mainboard foxconn X38A, which was equipped with four slots DDR-2 and two slots  DDR- 3, ensuring alternate support to both memory types.
