MSATA SSDs are typically low in speed, but Lite-On company in collaboration with Acer has proven that size does not matter. The ultrabook S7 is equipped with two connectors mSATA with a capacity of 6 Gb / s.  Theoretically, if use both connectors for RAID-array, you can achieve maximum reading speed serial data at 1 GB / s. In effect, the memory initially is RAID-array: on each side of the printed circuit board contains the controller Marvell 88S9175 (SATA 6 Gb / s), two flash memory Toggle Mode NAND and DRAM-chip cache.
Although the drive is connected to one port mSATA, the benchmarks show a performance that exceeds the capabilities of the interface:   Apparently, the secret lies in the individual design features of Acer S7 ultrabooks port. Related Products : | ||
