AMD company released the first processors, which use the new notation models. The processors athlon X2 BE -2300 (1.9 GHz) and Athlon X2 BE -2350 (2.1 GHz) were announced today. Both processors are based on (good old) 65 nm core brisbane stepping G1, which relates to K8 generation . Each processor have two cores and 2 X 512 KB cache in the second level, the built-in  memory controller support dual-channel DDR 2-800. We note that rana processors (generation k10) are lower in position than actual dual core brisbane processors (generation k8) . Does this speak about the lower performance of rana processors in comparison with present brisbane  ???? . Hope that we can get answer soon ....  The processors athlon X2 BE -2300 (1.9 GHz) and Athlon X2 BE -2350 (2.1 GHz) in official AMD Price- list cost  $86 and $91 respectively. In comparison with processors athlon 64 X2 3600+ and Athlon 64 X2 4000+, that have identical frequencies and cache volume  , new processors have lower core voltage  (1.25 v instead of 1.25/1.35 v), lower TDP value  (45 W instead of 65 W); also extended temperature range (55-78 degree Celsius instead of 49-72 degree Celsius). All this speaks, that before us processors with the lowered energy consumption level . Prices of other AMD processors did not change.... Related Products :
