The development of wireless technology to transmit data from sensors has gone from a Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and ZigBee for RFID and possibly go further. Each of the new technology reduces the need for sensors power consumption .
Fujitsu company , require wireless technology with much less energy consumption. In the end, everything comes down to a battery. If we use millions and billions of sensors, the most important question becomes the independent power.
For the development of ultra-low consumption transceivers Fujitsu was united with the Belgian center IMEC (with its unit - Holst Centre), and other major European centers - Dutch TNO. Fujitsu's European partners will provide in the joint management developers knowledge about designing transceivers and application solutions, and Fujitsu will use its experience to create LSI for RFID-tags.
