The mechanisms TressFX , implemented through the programming interface DirectCompute, let you use streaming video processors for correct rendering hair characters of computer games.
Interestingly, the TressFX takes into account many of the physical parameters of each curl: the power and direction of the wind, gravity, and even strands of collision between themselves and other objects (eg, head, shoulders, clothing). All this allows to change the outlook of virtual characters.
The first game that uses TressFX, was Tomb Raider.
