In January, Intel released the first processor series Y, has a lower power consumption in comparison with ULV class models . Sacrificing performance, Intel managed to limit the amount of heat for typical new solutions to 7-13 watts . The Y series includes models branded Core and Pentium, but in the future the most economical processors will be Celeron.
The model is based on Celeron 1019Y Ivy Bridge microarchitecture. The processor contains two cores, 2 MB cache in the third level, dual-channel memory controller and graphics core. For CPU architecture characteristic expansion EM64T, the basic functions of virtualization, but there is no support of Hyper-Threading, no Turbo Boost. Basic graphics core frequency is 350 MHz, but this value can be increased up to 800 MHz. Power consumption of Celeron 1019Y is 7-10 watts.
It should be noted that the characteristics of Celeron 1019Y are close to Pentium 2129Y model, although the low-end model has a smaller amount of cache in the third level and the graphics core with lower maximum frequency. Related Products :
