Dell is not only trying to find a way to pay off the pesky shareholders and investors, but also seeks to optimize the cost to reduce the prices of products and successful opposition to Lenovo. The company focused work with suppliers for their laptops, to reduce costs and the selling price of finished products.
One of the priorities of cost optimization is to work with the case. Laptops are getting thinner, and therefore the final cost of labor and case remains at a high level. Soon Dell is going to increase the number of case providers from two to three, to increase competition stimulated them to reduce prices. Contracts for the case supply for Dell will be revised in April to accommodate the wishes of the customer.
According to Dell partners , if the company purchase shares , it will focus on the corporate segment, and therefore will continue to cut costs in order to better compete on price with other market players.
