AMD company plans later this year to end the production of processor Socket FM1 and Socket AM3. The first will give way in the performance of Socket FM2 processors (Trinity and later), the latter has long been superseded by Socket AM3 + processors.
Note that future models of FX series processors also have to use the design concept Socket AM3 +, but the timing of their announcement is not known. AMD in 2013 will present in a segment of high-end processors Vishera generation . Their successors, to be released in 2014, will retain compatibility with Socket AM3 +. Perhaps they will use Steamroller architecture , which at the end of 2013, will appear hybrid processors Kaveri.
In the second quarter this year, AMD will cut prices for CPUs FX-8320, FX-6300 and FX-4300 for $ 14-20, and processors A8-5600K and A8-5500 will drop by $ 10. In the third quarter, AMD will begin to curtail deliveries of processors Socket FM1, and by the end of the year will be same for Socket AM3 processors. However, on sale they can be found for a long time.
