Mainboard: ASUSTek P5B deluxe/wiFi-AP (Intel p965), LGA 775, BIOS 1101; Cooling chipset: Thermaltake extreme spirit II (~2500 r/min); Processor: Intel core 2 Quad q6600 2400 MHz, 1.2875 in, L2 2 X 4096 KB, FSB: 266 MHz x 4, (Kentsfield, B3); Video card: Sysconn geForce 8600 GTS 256 mb./128 bits, 675/2016 MHz; Cooling system video card: Arctic cooling accelero S2 (passive regime); Memory: 2 x 1024 mb. DDR2 corsair dominator TWIN2X2048-9136C5D (SPD: 1142 MHz, 5-5-5-18, 2.1 V); Hard Disk: SATA- II 320 Gb, Hitachi (HDT725032VLA360), 7200 rp/min, 16 mb., NCQ; Drive: DVD RAM&DVD±R/RW&CDRW NEC ND -4571A; Power unit: MGE magnum 500 (500 W) All tests were executed under the operating system Windows XP professional edition SP2. For processor temperature monitoring we used the program speedFan version 4.32, which read temperature directly from processors registers  (CPU sensor). In the heat -up phase we used the program OCCT (OverClock checking tool) version 1.1.0 for 60- minute period All automatic fan adjustment settings were switched off. To check the processor intel core 2 Quad thermal throttling we used the program rightMark CPU clock utility version 2.25. Room temperature during our test was stabilized on 22.0-22.5 degree Celsius . Our four core processor worked with 1.5 v , overclocked to 3304 MHz (+ 37.7% over the default value) . The list of utilized cooler is : Scythe infinity; Scythe andy samurai master; Thermaltake big typhoon; Zalman CNPS9700 LED; Enzotech Ultra- X. Here is the test results: IT becomes clear that Thermalright ultra-120 eXtreme  is one of the best super- air cooler . With one quiet 120- mm fan , Thermalright ultra-120 extreme cools the overclocked processor just as scythe infinity with two fans.   Lets us  verify the maximum CPU frequency with each cooler. We fixed the voltage to 1.5 volts, started increasing FSB and finally checked for stability . Let us look to the results: ' It is obvious that Scythe andy samurai master in the standard version works already on its limit ( the processor do not overclock any more ) . At the same time, the installation of additional fan allow to get 46 MHz. Focus attention, that is case of (Infinity and Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme) the processor demonstrates absolute indifference to the second fan . We note some temperature reduction , but here no more frequency increase . Zalman CNPS9700 LED with maximum fan rotation occupy honorable second place . Enzotech Ultra- X, became absolute leader . Let us now pass to the noise level : Scythe 3 , the weakest cooler proved to be the quietest . The Loudest cooler is enzotech Ultra- X, But here the noise is compensated by the high efficiency. Let us note that  at the distance 3 meter ( from the case ) noise from enzotech Ultra- X is similar to other coolers.   Related Products :

	update the article with stock clock temps. you should have included that before you oc\'d it makes it almost impossible to compare it to something that you don\'t have on that small list of coolers when you overclock the b3 stepping that far. nobody pushes the b3 that hard to test a cooler so im kinda in the dark right now with research as I have to many uncontrolled variables.

	I agree, you need stock temps and maybe compare to stock cooler as well. Also the second chart is misrepresenting the data. All the other charts start at 0deg but this one at 60? Still interesting to see the comparisons but it is a little half cooked...
