Recently we talked about the announcement of inexpensive intel dual cores processors in the next months. The idea is simple: the existing price positions will be occupied by new (faster)processors, and instead of prices reduction intel will simply remove old CPU. As result, some time later , we will have only two models series core 2 Duo e4xxx and two models Pentium e2xxx, the announced (before) low-end models will be removed from production. However, it will be possible to find them in sale from reasonable prices, since the reserves of old processors are wasted in one hours. :-)
The announcement of processor core 2 Duo e4600 (2.4 GHz) will takes place during October in the present year. Let us recall that this processor will have two cores with 2mb divided cache in the second level, support 800 MHz system bus, and it will be proposed on wholesale price $133. Furthermore, this processor will be based on stepping M0, most successful stepping which demonstrate the ability to stably operate at frequencies 3.6-3.7 GHz. The processor core 2 Duo e4400 (2.0 GHz) began passage on stepping M0 already in this week.
The processor core 2 Duo e4300 (1.8 GHz) will be removed from the official Price- list in 22 July, at the same time intel will announce the Core 2 Duo e4500 (2.2 GHz).
The cheapest dual cores processors , series Pentium e2xxx, which was announced this month, will enlarge their assortment on 26 August - Intel will release the model Pentium e2180 (2.0 GHz). its wholesale cost will compose 84$ , during the same day the processor Pentium e2160 (1.8 GHz) will drop in price to 74$ , and the model Pentium e2140 (1.6 GHz) will be removed from production.
