DDR2 corsair dominator TWIN2X2048-9136C5D (SPD: 1142 MHz, 5-5-5-18, 2.1 v); Hard Disk : SATA- II 320 Gb, Hitachi (HDT725032VLA360), 7200 rp/min, 16 mb., NCQ; . The processor overclock was limited by the effectiveness of weakest cooler model. As result the four core processor was overclocked to 3213 MHz (+ 33.9%) with 1.45 v vcore : CPU heat up phase was achieved with OCCT (OverClock checking tool) version 1.1.0 with 25- minute period . Let us note that TAT program result in higher processor temperature ( average 4-5 degrees higher than OCCT ); however, at higher frequency OCCT result on error while TAT under the same conditions continues to work without problem. Here is the obtained result : Unfortunately, new cooler do not demonstrate a worthy effectiveness. Scythe katana II although lose 9 degrees vs cheaper cooler master hyper TX. Let us note that the noise level  in Katana II is noticeably lower than in Hyper TX . Scythe kama cross, in spite of increased overall sizes and higher cost ( than in Katana II ) do not show any worthy performance.  We assumed that the contact between the cooler base and processor heat-distributor was bad , but here is the result obtained after the cooler removal : So  in the standard assembly with closed case , scythe kama cross is not able to cool the overclocked four core processor . The replacement of fan with 120- mm increases its cooling efficiency, but the results still far from Thermaltake big typhoon witch has the same price. Let us now pass to the noise level , here is the obtained results: We note a low noise level of all tested today cooler .   Related Products :
