The main reasons for the low popularity of tablets running Windows RT are obvious: it is an underdeveloped software ecosystem and relatively high prices. Microsoft has decided to fight one of the reasons is a quite original way: it slightly lowered the price of its operating system, and made concessions to tablets producers with screen sizes of about seven inches. Small tablet should be cheaper as a whole, and it will slightly raise the popularity of Windows RT.
HTC has abandoned plans to release a tablet running Windows RT with screen sizes of about 12". First , the device has turned out to be quite expensive. Secondly, the demand for products with Windows RT continues to remain disappointingly low. However, this does not prevent HTC closer to September or October to present a seven-inch tablet on the same platform.
In Autumn will also be released a seven-inch screen tablet running Google Android.
