In spite of the large processor cooler quantity with interesting construction, the so-called tower layout continues to remain popular. From the copper base we have some vertical thermal tubes with radiator and one or two fans.
A new cooler with tower layout appeared from asus production , it is called : Asus Triton 70. The Producer noted two advantages of this new cooler : first, it has height (125 mm) sufficiently small for its construction, in the second place, it is originally designed for installation with second fan. In the stock condition the cooler is accompanied by one fan with standard size 92 X 92 X 25 mm and three thermal tubes.
In the radiator it is possible to place the second fan. Asus recommends to use the second fan with higher rotation speed ( than the first one ). In the producer opinion , it is possible to attain higher cooling efficiency. The basic fan has the control function pulse-width modulation (PWM) witch allow to flexibly control the fan rotation speed . The basic fan rotate at 2300 rp/min, creating noise not more than 22 DB, maximum air flow is 36,5 cubic feet per minute.
The cooling unit asus triton 70 have the overall dimensions 90 X 78 X 125 mm and weigh 350 deg. (without fans). This cooler support the socket 939/940/AM2 and LGA 775.
In Japan asus triton 70 is already sold for $37.
