Decline in demand for desktop computers made experts analyst firm IDC once again revised forecast of monitors sales in 2013. For example, it is estimated that this year will be sold 134.4 million monitors (previously 140.1 million), a decline of 9.9% compared to last year. The negative trend will continue: by 2017 figure will drop to 113.6 million.
In the first quarter 2013 was sold 33.8 million monitors , though analysts previously predicted 34.7 million. At the same time 69.2% of the total number of monitors with LED backlighting, which is 15.7% more than last year. The 16:9 aspect ratio are 75% of sold monitors, are the second most common monitors, the proportions of which are determined by the ratio of 16:10.
