The processor core 2 Duo e4400 (2.0 GHz) began to be transferred on M0 stepping in the end of June. It was assumed that the model core 2 Duo e4300 (1.8 GHz) on M0 stepping will not be transferred since it will be soon removed from production, but the processor core 2 Duo e4500 (2.2 GHz) from the first days of its existence will be based on M0 stepping . Until now we were a little familiar with markings of  new versions processors (core 2 Duo), and only the recent announcement of processors series core 2 Duo e6x50 forced Intel to renew the documentation with processors characteristics . After studying the appropriate document, we could transfer the missing markings of processors core 2 Duo G0 and M0 stepping : Here is the list: Core 2 Duo e4400 (2.0 GHz) - > SLA98, stepping M0; Core 2 Duo e4500 (2.2 GHz) - > SLA95, stepping M0; Core 2 Duo e6540 (2.33 GHz) - > SLAA5, stepping G0; Core 2 Duo e6550 (2.33 GHz) - > SLA9X, stepping G0; Core 2 Duo e6750 (2.66 GHz) - > SLA9V, stepping G0; Core 2 Duo e6850 (3.00 GHz) - > SLA9U, stepping G0. Let us add that the processor core 2 Duo e4400 (2.0 GHz) after passage on M0 stepping obtained the marking SLA98. At the same time we would like to talk about the differences, which have new stepping  processors from predecessors. As you already know, they possess the smaller energy consumption level in state extended HALT: only 8 W instead of previous 12-22 W. Furthermore, they support new energy states - C2E (Extended stop grant state). All processors series core 2 Duo e6x50 with 1333 MHz system bus on G0 stepping support the data protection technology TXT (La grande), with exception of model core 2 Duo e6540 (2.33 GHz). The technology virtualization VT will be supported in all the remaining models of this series. Specifically, the absence of TXT support distinguishes this processor from Core 2 Duo e6550 (2.33 GHz). If we consider that both stepping demonstrate good overclocking potential, those markings will help buyer with the selection of optimum processor for overclock. Related Products :
