As we already published in previous news the motherboard asus series P5B is compatible with intel 45 nm processors generation penryn. For the work with these processors it suffices to update the BIOS only. Penryn generation processors will exist in both dual core (Wolfdale) and four core (Yorkfield) versions. We should recognize that not all motherboards with conroe support simultaneously ensure compatibility with four core kentsfield processors . The products series asus P5B are cheap and start to be removed from production. But many owners these motherboard want to know about their compatibility with four core 45 nm yorkfield processors . Today in the forum 3DCenter.de was published a screen shot in the following form:  The engineering model of the four core processor yorkfield works at the reduced to 2.0 GHz frequency in the motherboard asus P5B deluxe on base of chipset intel p965 revision C2. Version BIOS 1215 ( dated 13 July, 2007 ).
