Administration of the President of the United States decided to support a ban on U.S. imports of certain Samsung smartphones models . The decision to ban was accepted by the Committee on International Trade in the United States, because, according to the commission, these smartphones infringed two Apple patents. The devices Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung Continuum and Transform banned in the United States.
It should be noted that to date the release of all these models are discontinued, so that the South Korean company is unlikely to be concerned about the economic impact of the ban. On the other hand, this event can be considered a Apple victory in a battle of large-scale between two leaders of the mobile device market.
Victory is very significant. Recall that in August in a similar situation with Apple U.S. President authorized to sell Apple mobile devices , which violated Samsung patents , approving their importation into the United States.
Samsung expected Obama to veto the ban imports of products, as it has done in the case of Apple , but expectations are not met.
It remains to add that in the more modern devices Samsung violations are eliminated, so that they are not covered by the decision to ban imports.
