A few days ago, Toshiba introduced a mobile workstation W50-A relating to the line Tecra.  Now it became available two new items of this line: A50 and Z40.  The manufacturer is positioning its devices for the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. Tecra Z40 is built on a chassis made of a magnesium alloy.  Toshiba also separately focuses on high-quality cooling system, technology support USB Sleep & Charge (the ability to charge mobile devices even when the notebook is turned off), the support of the image output format Ultra HD through the port HDMI, and spill-resistant keyboard with LED backlight.     The display is 14 inches, resolution - 1366 ? 768 or 1600 ? 900 pixels.  The heart can serve as Intel Haswell processors up to Core i7-4600U.  The maximum amount of memory up to 16 GB, while the disk system can be presented by HDD of up to 500GB or SSD up to 512 GB.  As an operating system may make Windows 7 Professional, Windows 8.1 and 8.1 Pro.  The port selection includes three USB 3.0, HDMI, Ethernet and VGA.  The volume of the battery is 52 V • h  The case thickness is 20 mm, while the weight of the device is 1.45 kg.   In terms of technical characteristics Tecra A50 is very similar to the little brother.  Of course, there's a big screen diagonal - 15.6 inches.  But similar resolution 1366 x 768 or 1600 x 900 pixels, depending on the version.  Among the differences worth noting the large capacity HDD (Hybrid) - up to 1 TB, as well as the opportunity to purchase a large capacity battery (66 V • h).  Slightly modified set of ports.  The device is equipped with two connectors USB 2.0, two USB 3.0, HDMI and VGA.  The other parameters are identical to Tecra Z40.  In a minimum configuration, device cost is $ 800.
