VIA technologies presented a new motherboard VIA pc3500, which belong to the energy-effective platforms line.
This new motherboard system is a completely functional solution with low energy consumption, OEM- producers and system integrators can create PC with Microsoft Windows vista basic support , which consume only 24 W in the standby mode.
System on base of VIA pc3500 motherboard differs not only in terms of the low energy consumption (less than 24 W) in the standby mode: in the idle regime this device will require only 1,09 W, while in standby mode consume only 0,68 W.
The PC on base of VIA pc3500 consumes less than 35 W during DVD reproduction .
This new product is built on chipset VIA CN896 with built-in graphic core VIA chrome9 HC. In its composition enter the 3d- accelerator with directX 9.0 support , 2d- accelerator for business- applications and video core chromotion 3.0. This motherboard is equipped with built-in processor VIA C 7 D, 1,5 GHz.
There are two slots DIMM for the installation of 2 Gb DDR2 with 400/533/of 667 MHz frequency , the additional expansion card possibilities are one slots PCI express x16 and PCI. There is also 4 ports USB 2.0, two SATA II/PATA. The motherboard has the built-in net codec 10/100 Mbit/s, and also eight-channel sound. Among additional options we have a gigabit net controller (Gigabit Ethernet), S -Video and sound S/PDIF.
