According to NPD analysts estimates , in the period from January to November 2013 through commercial channels in the U.S. were sold 14.4 million desktops, laptops and tablet devices, which is 25.4% higher than the same period in 2012. Sales volumes of desktop computers running the Windows operating system increased by 10%, at the same time the notebook segment showed no dynamics. Total sales of Apple laptops and computers fell by 7%, the largest increase in sales is typical for Chromebooks - implemented during the reporting period 1.76 million such devices, against 400,000 in 2012. This is 21% of all notebooks and 8% - from all computers (including tablets), sold from January to November.
The share in the total weight of the tablet personal computing device reaches 22%. In this segment, Apple certainly leads with a share of 59%, followed by the device are running Andorid and Windows.
