The processor core 2 Extreme QX6700 (2.66 GHz) brought to overclocker and enthusiasts the combination of four cores and free multiplier. Those combination of qualities made the price of such processor equal to $999 up to July in the present year, now for the same price it is possible to purchase not only Core 2 Extreme QX6800 (2.93 GHz), but also Core 2 Extreme QX6850 (3.0 GHz). After foregoing the free multiplier, it was to purchase Core 2 Quad Of q6700 (2.66 GHz) for $530 , working at identical frequency. It was obvious that the processor core 2 Extreme QX6700 (2.66 GHz) will be then removed from production. As official document reports, that the program of removal from production of processor core 2 Extreme QX6700 (2.66 GHz) started in 7 September 2007. The reason for removal of this model is obvious: low demand l. It will be possible to order the processor core 2 Extreme QX6700 (2.66 GHz) in any of two version until 4 January, 2008. Box version will be supplied until 4 April, 2008, and here OEM- version will be available up to 6 March 2009. | ||
