In January, OCZ company finally moved into Toshiba as a subsidiary.
In an interview with reporters Alex Mei , marketing director for OCZ, spoke about the positive sides of deal with Toshiba.
In the past, OCZ had to solve problems with the stability of supplies of memory chips. Together with Toshiba developer gets direct access to the chips and advanced technology NAND, that in the long term will ensure the availability of products to the final consumer and competitive prices. Toshiba resources allow OCZ to expand development plan and pay more attention to consumer-grade solutions, accelerate the development of controllers and associated software. OCZ believe that together with Toshiba the developer will be able to cover the corporate and consumer market segments, and offer products at attractive prices.
Incidentally, Mei believes that the development of the market of SSDs and increased competition leads to an acceleration of the consolidation process.
