As it was expected, the number of producers, who will propose the two-chip solutions on base Of radeon HD 2600 Pro/XT (project gemini) following Sapphire and GeCube was increased with powerColor company . Today it is possible to speak, that such exotic solutions have all chances to receive sufficiently wide acceptance.

The proposal of powerColor company obtained the designation powerColor radeon HD 2600 X2. At base of this new card are used two chips RV630, each of which has its own GDDR3 video memory with 256 Mbytes volume , working on the 128- bit interface. Thus, the memory volume in PowerColor radeon HD 2600 X2 is equal to 512 Mbytes. The frequency of GPU is set to 800 MHz, whereas the memory operates at 1400 MHz frequency .

The memory frequencies in powerColor radeon HD 2600 X2 is somewhat inferior to the frequencies of analog from Sapphire. In the number of differences in the proposal Of powerColor from the analogs should be noted the smaller card amount and the support to the technology crossFire.

It is desirable to recall that besides two-chip radeon HD 2600 in the same price range AMD will propose the card radeon HD 2900 Pro .
