In the conference of built in systems (Embedded systems conference), AMD company announced the addition of three new AMD athlon 64 processors with the lowered energy consumption for the built in systems.

New processor are designed for installation in AM2 socket and propose to developers the built in solutions with the extremely attractive relationship of powerful computational resource AMD64 and modest energy demands. Athlon 64 2000+ lowest of three models has a TDP 8 W. Two others, AMD athlon 64 2600+ and 3100+, have TDP 15 and 25 W respectively.

Among other special features there is support to errors correction memory , which is useful in critical data integrity , for example, depository with the network connection (Network attached storage, NAS), expansion card advanced mezzanine cards (AMC) for telecommunication equipment ....

The announced models can be used with the existing system : among producers of this AMD production let us calls the companies : aaeon, Albatron, iBase, ICP, iEi and WinMate communication. The mass deliveries of new processors will begin in the fourth quarter.
