Corning presented cables USB 3.Optical, which allow to combine devices via USB via an optical fiber ClearCurve VSDN at speeds up to 5 Gb / s. Unlike conventional cables with copper conductors, the length of which can reach 3-5 meters, Corning optical cables can transmit data up to 30 meters. Corning notes that cables USB 3.Optical may be subject to bending and twisting - performance is not affected. Also optic cables are thinner and lighter than standard. Products can be used for attaching supported USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 devices: digital cameras, storage devices, terminals, zero clients, medical equipment and other things.
