In anticipation of the official announcement of Haswell Refresh processors, TweakTown posted a review of the most productive refreshed models - Core i7-4790. This processor is clocked at 3.6 GHz and 4.0 GHz under the influence of Turbo Boost technology, it is only 100 MHz faster than the Core i7-4770K, but the overclocking potential of the latter is not limited by a locked multiplier .
Test Results Core i7-4970 are no surprises - its advantage over Core i7-4770K in most applications is reduced to the very difference in frequencies.
Looks more intriguing future update line Haswell processors with unlocked multiplier. New solutions, known under the code name Devil's Canyon, will also receive a small increase to the base frequency, but will feature a more efficient thermal interface and heat distribution under the cover that holds promise for increased overclocking potential.
