In the past month NVIDIA company presented its first integrated chipsets for intel platforms , known to us under the official name geForce 7xxx (MCP73). The functionality of these chipsets is not very advanced- graphic core is satisfied by the support Of directX 9.0c, the memory controller can work only with one channel DDR 2-667 or DDR 2-800.
Today appeared the review of motherboard on base of chipset NVIDIA MCP73 which compare its performances with the results of integrated chipset intel g33. The system used was :
Processor : Intel Core 2 Duo E6750
Motherboard : MSI P6NGM , Gigabyte GA-G33M-S2
Memory : ADATA DDR2-800 1GB x 2(CL 5-5-5-15)
Power unit : Delta ServerPower 650W EX
Operating system : Windows Vista Ultimate 32Bit
Driver : Intel GMA 14.31 , NVIDIA mGPU 16.04
. In game tests MCP73 somewhere wins vs Intel g33, but also loses - The single-channel memory controller is bottleneck for the given chipset. But we should recognize that in the system on base of MCP73 the processor loading are below, and in the operating system Windows vista, the programs acrobat reader 8.1 and Google earth using integrated graphic core class NV44 ensures acceptable images smoothness change .
