We already talked many time about Intel plan to release four core  processors with 1600 MHz  system bus . For such processor intel will release the chipset intel x48. Intel will present yorkfield processors with 1600 MHz system bus in the first quarter 2008. Their release is connected with the announcement of gaming platform skulltrail, which for the first time will realizes quad SLI support by intel chipset motherboard . The system class skulltrail will be equipped with two four core processors. They work only with xeon processors  . In order to give them a desktop image, the appropriate processors will be renamed to Core 2 Extreme QX9775. On essence, these will be harpertown processors with four core, which work at 3.2 GHz frequency  , equipped 2 X 6 mb cache in the second level, supporting 1600 MHz system bus, and possessing TDP level  150 W. The processors model core 2 Extreme QX9775 will have the socket LGA 771. The processors core 2 Extreme QX9775 will have a free multiplier. This will solve the overclocking problem in two-processor motherboards. The chipset intel 5400 will become basis for the motherboards, utilized in the composition of skulltrail platform  . One motherboard will support up to 8 Gb memory DDR 2-800 (FB-DIMM). in the first quarter 2008 , Intel will present the processor core 2 Extreme QX9770, which will also operate at 3.2 GHz frequency  and support 1600 MHz system bus.  Free multiplier, four core and 2 X 6 mb cache in the second level are preserved. TDP Level is equal to 136 W. The wholesale cost of the processor core 2 Extreme QX9770 (3.2 GHz) will be $1399. Related Products :
