Many already asked the question about the accessibility periods of inexpensive 45 nm processors wolfdale with two cores. As is known, during January Intel will present only the model series core 2 Duo e8xxx, which will have 1333 MHz system bus and 6 mb cache in the second level, and cost not less than $163 in parties from 1000 pieces.
We should consider that the models core 2 Duo on 45 nm core wolfdale, with 3 mb cache and supporting 1066 MHz system bus, will appear only in the second quarter 2008. Already in the third quarter they will extrude from price segment $100-150 their 65 nm predecessors.
In the first quarter intel will release one additional model core 2 Duo e4xxx on 65 nm core with 2 mb cache in the second level. It will be called Core 2 Duo e4700, and it will operate at 2.6 GHz frequency . It is easy to calculate, that with the system bus frequency 800 MHz this processor will have the 13x multiplier - good reserve for overclock experiments . At the announcement moment the processor core 2 Duo e4700 (2.6 GHz) will cost $133. The previous model with this price, Core 2 Duo e4600 (2.4 GHz), will be announced already on 21 October.
In Intel road map Appeared one new processor - Core 2 Duo e8190. It is based on 45 nm core wolfdale, and according to its characteristics it is almost identical to Core 2 Duo e8200 (2.66 GHz). The processor core 2 Duo e8190 support 1333 MHz system bus, it is equipped with 6 mb cache in the second level; however, in this case it do not support the technologies VT, TXT and vPro. However, this model will be proposed as Core 2 Duo e8200 (2.66 GHz) for $163 in parties from 1000 pieces.
Dual core processor celeron e1200 (1.6 GHz) will be presented with $53 price . From intel side this will be the cheapest dual core proposal.
