MSI Company officially presented the motherboard MSI K9NU speedster. Its basic special feature is the support of the recently released processors quad-Core AMD opteron.
This motherboard use the chipset NVIDIA nForce 3400. MSI K9NU speedster is oriented to the initial level servers segment , since it is designed for the installation of one processor quad-Core AMD opteron series 2200. In addition this motherboard support the hyperTransport (1 GHz) in full duplex regime, according MSI company, this corresponds to the capacity 8 Gb/s. the maximum memory volume is equal to 8,5 Gb (DDR 2-533) or 10,5 Gb (DDR 2-667).
The motherboard k9NU-Speedster is equipped with eight memory slot DDR 2-533/667 with errors correction (ECC). The maximum storage capacity is 32 Gb. Graphic system is made on the base of processor XGI volari Z7 and 16 mb memory. If necessary, users can equip server with discrete graphic adapter. Moreover, since this motherboard is equipped with two slots PCI-Express x16, the users, interested in high productive graphical solutions, can install two graphic adapters on base of NVIDIA processors in SLI configuration .
