Next month, Intel will introduce server processors Haswell-EP, support of RAM type DDR4. The new standard will reduce the power consumption of RAM memory, simultaneously building up the data rate. Some manufacturers already supply DDR4 modules , and some of them are commercially available.
At industry events Flash Memory Summit, where traditionally paid more attention of computer memory and storage devices. Company AgigA Tech, a subsidiary of Cypress Semiconductor, announced that is currently underway sampling the industry's first non-volatile (Nonvolatile DIMM) modules DDR4.
This memory will be compatible with the standard 288-pin connectors designed for DDR4 modules by RDIMM. In case of power failure, all data in RAM will be saved in a special flash memory at the expense of the energy stored supercapacitors. Related Products :
