In the second half of 2014, Intel will increase the supply of processors for tablets, according to analysts Taiwan Digitimes Research.
According to the Taiwanese trade publication DigiTimes, in the first half of 2014 Intel supplied roughly 1.5 million processors for tablets. And in the second half of the year deliveries may increase to seven million units. This will be possible thanks to the support of the Chinese brands and manufacturers of electronics in white-box, when mobile devices are available without a mention of the brand, then the company, purchased them, causing their logos.
Meanwhile, Intel is going to reduce marketing costs in the segment of tablets due to termination of subsidy component suppliers. And in the near future the company plans to release its new low-cost solutions for smartphones and tablet computers with phone functions, which would strengthen its position in the market and expand the range of the line.
Also today, Intel continues to develop 64-bit solutions for Android-powered devices, despite the fact that initially they were totally incompatible with ARM. Now, the company intends to consolidate its position in the segment with the new 64-bit architecture.
