Samsung has announced the beginning of mass production of memory chips LPDDR3 density of 6 Gbps for advanced 20-nm technology. Microchips are characterized by a transmission rate of 2133 Mbit / s per pin, which greatly exceeds the capabilities of memory standard, LPDDR2, and can be configured for four pieces in a total volume of 3 GB modules.
As explained by the company's press release, the RAM modules on the base of new memory chips is 20% smaller and consumes 10% less energy compared to similar decisions issued by a wide technological standards. Samsung believes that the use of new memory in mobile devices will increase the duration of their battery life.
Samsung has started to use the 20-nm technology for the production of memory chips density DDR3 4Gb in March.
