Two years ago, in the summer of 2013, appeared Intel drives DC S3500. They have focused on the use of corporate and offered only in the form factor 2.5 "Interface SATA3. A few months later they were presented to the public under the name of Intel 730 .
And now, today, Intel has decided to further expand its drives range, introducing two new modifications in the form factor of 2.5 ", while at the same time expand DC S3500 solutions size M.2 2280.
Intel presented DC S3500 high volume - 1.2 and 1.6 TB. For novelties claimed read and write speeds 500 and 460 MB / s, an established performance on write operations - up to 18,500 IOPS, and the minimum resource set at 660 and 880 terabytes of data recorded.
Unfortunately, the range of new products in the size M.2 looks much more modest.
Firstly, the volumes themselves are not beyond the usual: just three version debuted at 80, 120 and 340 GB.
And secondly, we have M.2 SATA, and not M.2 PCI-E, so the speed performance is not dazzling, stated, depending on the volume, 340, 440 and 380 MB / s for reading and 110, 160 and 355 MB / s on write operations. Also implemented data protection in case of unexpected power loss.
New items are available to order. For 1.2 and 1.6 TB 2.5 "SATA prices listed are $ 1099 and $ 1444, and for 2280 M.2 SATA - $ 99, $ 124 and $ 314, respectively. Not too cheap, but consider that this is a enterprise-class solutions. Related Products :
