HP has officially announced its compact and relatively lightweight laptop based on Intel Core M processors with passive cooling system. But unfortunately on sale HP EliteBook Folio 1020 will come no earlier than 2015.
According to Engadget, laptop HP EliteBook Folio 1020 have a body thickness of 15.7 mm and will be available in two versions: normal, which weighs 1.2 kg, and special weighing 2.2 kg already. The laptop is made of magnesium alloy and lithium and meets the military standard MIL-STD-810G. This means that the device has high durability and can withstand moisture, shock and even operation at extreme temperatures.
HP EliteBook Folio 1020 is equipped with a 12.5-inch screen with a resolution of Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels), will be available as an optional version with a touch screen with a resolution of QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels). Other technical features of the new notebook include 8 GB of RAM, a built-in SSD 128 or 256 GB, fingerprint scanner, web camera with support for HD, two-port USB 3.0, a slot for MicroSD memory card slot and HDMI. Laptop battery will provide up to 9 hours of battery life.
On sale laptop HP EliteBook Folio 1020 will go in the next year, at the same time will be announced its cost.
