Video cards based on RV670 chip will offer DirectX 10.1 support , the GeForce 8800 GT is limited to DirectX 10 support.
Next generation NVIDIA graphics solutions will be based on 65 nm technology, and will support DirectX 10.1. Naturally, all will support PCI Express 2.0 originally :
* D9M-> will replace the GeForce 8500, 128-bit memory bus, support DirectX 10.1 and PCI Express 2.0; * D9P-> will replace the GeForce 8600, 256-bit memory bus, support DirectX 10.1 and PCI Express 2.0; * D9E-> will replace the GeForce 8800, 512-bit memory bus, support DirectX 10.1 and PCI Express 2.0.
All three video chip will be released on 65 nm process. The high end product D9E will receives 512-bit memory bus, and not 384-bit, as the GeForce 8800 GTX. In principle, NVIDIA often presents its new video card at March exhibition CeBIT.
This year we will also meet novelties from NVIDIA. Besides the GeForce 8800 GTS version based on G92 with 128 stream processors should appear the video card based on 65 nm chip G98, which is alternatively called D8M. These products will replace the video card series GeForce 8400.
Such video chip symbols system will continue in the future. The second letter correspond to the video chip generation, the last letter class the productivity. "M" massive segment (mainstream), "P" - productive segment (performance), "E" symbolizes the most expensive segment-oriented to enthusiasts (enthusiast). Related Products :
