According to the specifications of motherboards from ASRock and some Intel official , our colleagues have put together all the available information to date about the models Xeon E5-4600 v3. Note the number of cores in the models partially obtained by calculating the known cache memory .
So, the first wave models Intel Xeon E5-4600 v3 (Haswell) will consist of 9 models . Cache memory will range from 25 MB to 45 MB. The base clock speed of processors is in the range 1.7-2.1 GHz. Two models will be optimized in frequency and can operate at a base frequency of 2.6 GHz and 2.9 GHz (possibly due to disable support for Hyper-Treading). The number of cores as part of Intel Xeon E5-4600 v3 will be in the range of 10 to 16 pieces and 18 pieces per model. At the same TDP
processors will be 105, 120 and 135 W, depending on configuration.
Separately site Computerbase.de published information on the characteristics of the model Intel Haswell-EN. These processors are focused on infrastructure LGA 1356 and deprived of certain characteristics peculiar to the older generation models Xeon Haswell. For example, the memory controller Haswell-EN supports only three memory channels and the type of memory DDR3-1600, whereas older Xeon Haswell designed to work with DDR4 memory. The positive side of models Haswell-EN is their reduced
power consumption. Haswell-EN processors are designed to work in both uniprocessor and dual-processor configurations. The number of cores can reach 10 pieces per model.
