Reference design GeForce 8800 GT cooling disappointed many, and most producers use alternative options as cooling system, which occupies two expansion slots. However, Sparkle company use silent version GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB with completely passive cooler, which does not create noise. Associate already tested the graphics card Sparkle model SF-PX88GT512D3-HP Cool-pipe 3 , this GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB version is a little different from the reference video card. Frequencies are equal to 600/1500/1800 MHz. . There is also a graphics card SF-PX88GT256D3-HP Cool-pipe 3, which has a frequency 600/1500/1400 MHz and 256 MB GDDR-3 memory .  Video card Cooling system uses three heat pipes to transfer heat energy to the radiator, located on the rear part of the PCB .  Moreover, the use of air flow fan allow better cooling. For example, if the test machine has two 80 mm fan at the rear of the system block, the video chip load temperature is raised to 111 degrees Celsius (without fan). When the fans are included, the temperature fell to 106 degrees Celsius. Reference graphics card has video chip temperature at around 94 degree Celsius.  As conclusion: the GeForce 8800 GT graphics card passive cooling is not easy.
