One of the major announcements at Computex 2015, which officially kicks off in Taipei tomorrow, June 2, you can call the new chip MediaTek Helio P10. It gave rise to a new line of processors Helio P, which are intended for use in thin smartphone with flagship specifications.
The structure of single-chip platform Helio P10 includes 64-bit, eight cores ARM Cortex-A53 processor with a clock frequency of 2 GHz and a graphics core Mali-T860, running at 700 MHz. It also has a modem with support for 4G LTE (Cat. 6), and data rates up to 300/50 Mbit / s. The new chip is endowed with support for touch screens with a resolution of Full HD and Quad HD, 21-megapixel camera with RWWB-sensor.
Helio P10 is the first chip created on a new 28nm process technology HPC +, which allows to significantly reduce the power consumption of processor cores. As a result, it consumes 35% less energy than other currently presented chips produced by standard HPC + 28nm.
Test samples Helio P10 will appear in the third quarter 2015. And the entry of the first mobile devices based on the new chip is expected by the end of this year. Related Products :
