Acer demonstrated at IFA 2015 a prototype modular compact desktop system Revo Build M1-601, which allows to install the new expansion units , gradually expanding the functionality and improve the performance of this nettop.
Case dimensions do not exceed 125 x 125 mm. The base module is equipped with a Celeron or Pentium, and a 32 GB solid-state memory. Additional hard drive is already set as the next module. Communication between the modules is carried out by a special unified connector.
In addition to the hard disk , in Revo Build you can add a sound module with Cortana support (system running Windows 10), a device for wireless charging with a built-in rechargeable battery for backup power. Regarding the possibility of installing a discrete graphics have not been announced. In Europe, Acer Revo Build debut in October at a suggested price of 199 euros for the basic module.
