A few hours ago, Gigabyte started selling a new motherboard , focused on the operation of processors Intel Skylake and based on chipset Intel Z170. The new range of supplements have become popular in recent years, making the form factor Mini-ITX multimedia oriented and well equipped.

Gigabyte GA-Z170N-WIFI equipped with two slots DDR4 memory allows the installation of up to 32 GB of RAM at up to 3200 MHz, SSDs M.2 NGFF 2260/2280 (located on the back side of the board, supported PCIe and SATA-decision and the protocols AHCI or NVMe), two SATA3 and two SATAe (backward compatible with SATA3 and allow the connection of up to four relevant drives). Expansion slots, due to the limited size of the board, in addition to the said M.2 NGFF from the reverse side, only two: M.2, occupied by module WiFi, and full-length PCI-Express 3.0 x16, intended to install a graphics card.
In accordance with the status, the board is equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth and with two gigabit network controllers Intel, as well as advanced audio section on the base of eight-channel controller Realtek ALC1150.
To connect the peripherals on the board realized 7 USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0. There was a place on the rear panel for the good old PS / 2. Graphic system includes two HDMI and one DVI-D.
At the same time, judging by the references in the documentation should start selling another motherboard - Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI, which differs only by using chipset H170 instead of Z170, as well as, obviously, the limitations in the availability of overclocking features and a slightly lower price.
