In the second quarter 2008 Intel will present the dual core 45 nm processors Wolfdale with 1066 MHz bus and 3 mb cache in the second level, which will gradually replace Core 2 duo E4xxx.
It was considered that these processors will relate to the series Core 2 duo E5xxx, but today appeared the precise information about these processors. Now they will belong to Core 2 duo E7xxx series. In April- May will be released the first 45 nm processor with two core and 1066 MHz bus, which will operate at 2.53 GHz frequency , and it will be called Core 2 duo E7200. The divided cache volume in the second level will be reduced to 3 mb . The wholesale cost of this model will be equal to $133.
According to new Intel road map it became known that the fraction of 45 nm processors in the first quarter will not exceed 5% - this is due to delay in the deliveries of four core Yorkfield processors . In the second quarter the portion of 45 nm processors will increase to 20%, and in the third it will reach 50%.
