AMD decided to provide a special announcement graph for chipset series 7xx , first such chipset will appear on Chinese market, and then they will begin to be sold in other regions .
On 23 January AMD company presented three new integrated chipset for its own processors:
- AMD 740G (RS740) with graphic core Radeon 2100 ($40-60);
- AMD 780V (RS780C) with graphic core Radeon 3100 ($60-70);
- AMD 780G (RS780) with graphic core Radeon HD 3200 ($70-90).
AMD Chipset supports only HyperTransport 1.0, PCI Express 1..1a and DirectX 9. Differences between AMD 780V and AMD 780G : The first does not support video decoding acceleration (UVD), and it is also deprived from local video memory buffer and support Hybrid CrossFire technology .
AMD proposes those chipset to the Chinese market with certain limitations in functionality and performance level . Superiority in performance over AMD 690G (RS690) is measured by value from 80% to 161%.
In the present year AMD is assembled to announce the chipset RX780H, while in the following year it will release the chipset RD890, RX880 and the south bridge SB800.
