Apple's share of the global smartphone market grew by 0.6 percentage points to 13.1% compared to the same period last year. A dominant market is still Android. Mobile Google's operating system in the reporting quarter has strengthened its position.
According to AppleInsider, Apple's share growth in the global smartphone market due to the launch of the new smartphone iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. At the end of last quarter, the company sold over 46 million iPhone, 13 million of which is accounted for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
As for the Android-smartphone, their combined share in the reporting period was 84.7%, which is 1.4 percentage points higher than last year. Windows Phone share decreased from 3% to 1.7%, while the share of BlackBerry fell from 0.8% to 0.3%.
Among the manufacturers of smartphones has demonstrated high growth Chinese company Huawei, whose share increased from 5.2% to 7.7%. Xiaomi and Lenovo occupy 4.9% of the market each. Samsung company , which remains the world's largest smartphone maker, lost 0.2 percentage points and now its share is 23.7%.
