Magic Leap company is developing the technology of volumetric stereoscopic images using micro projector located in front of the user's eyes. It is believed that this technology will not only raise a new level of realism to stereoscopic images, but will be actively used in augmented virtual reality devices.
Site Upload VR was able to interview the newfound Chief Marketing Magic Leap Gettisa Jeff , which until recently held a similar position in HTC company , engaged in the promotion of head-mounted display Vive. As is known, this device must enter the market before the end of the year. According to him, HTC Vive will soon be on the market and will be a success, but the decision Gettisa move to another job has nothing to do with the situation in HTC. It just fascinated developing Magic Leap, and could not pass up the opportunity to become involved in the advancement of this technology.
According to Gettisa, virtual and augmented reality in the future be able to co-exist, but if the first is to serve the interests of fans of gaming and entertainment, the augmented reality will become as ubiquitous as smartphones. Magic Leap decision may form the basis for a new type of interface, combining real-world objects and stereoscopic digital images. The latter, incidentally, will not be as flat as the image displayed by stereoscopic glasses of the present generation. The picture will be truly volumetric and live. Apparently, Magic Leap not too far from the release of the final product, but for the completion of all work may require additional investments. Related Products :
