Taiwanese company Asustek Computer decided to change its marketing strategy for a series of smartphones ZenFone, wishing to expand its presence in the global mobile market.
It is noted that Asus, a smartphone running ZenFone Zoom in the Taiwan market, uses a strategy similar to that used Huawei. This smartphone is equipped with a processor Intel Atom Z3590 / Z3580, 4 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB internal memory and a 13-megapixel main camera with an innovative 10-element optics HOYA. Cost ZenFone Zoom is $ 429 for the 64-gigabyte version and $ 490 for a 128-gigabyte.
And in the entry-level smartphone segment Asustek adopts the strategy of another company from China. It is about Xiaomi, which Asus considers as its main rival in the Asian market. In particular, in late 2014 Asustek released specifically for the Chinese economy a series of smartphones Pegasus, but sales were lower than expected. As a result, in 2015 the Taiwanese company will supply a total of 20.5 million smart phones instead of the planned 25 million.
To increase sales Asustek has decided to adjust its strategy to expand its presence in the more expensive market segments using a recognizable brand ZenFone, accumulated in the first and second smart phones generation.
