Google has plans for future versions of Android to abandon Java API Oracle and go to a free analogue OpenJDK. Also, the company said that Google will increase its participation in the project OpenJDK. The project is under the control of Oracle.
This search giant plans to resolve claims by Oracle, which considers Java-platform its intellectual property and prevents build its analogues. Also, switch to OpenJDK will tap opportunities Java 8. The dispute began in 2010, after the Oracle acquisition of Sun and its Java as a development. After that, Google has received a claim that the Java API can not be used without permission.
