Last weekend, Apple has raised the price of the iPhone and iPad in Germany. Increase due to the new tax treaty, the terms of which last month agreed to Apple and other technology companies. From now on, the people of Germany to buy an iPhone or iPad to pay an additional 5 to 7 euros for the benefit of musicians, producers and other manufacturers of digital content.
According to AppleInsider, Apple has confirmed that the growth of prices for the iPhone and iPad in Germany is associated with a new collection, introduced in the country. This price adjustment was insignificant - just worth collecting. So, the current iPhone models rose 6 euros and iPad jumped in price by about 7 euros.
According to the tax treaty, the residents of Germany are able to make copies of images, music and text printed for personal use subject to payment of a small surcharge to the cost of purchased their devices. Moreover, the rule applies not only to smartphones and tablets, but also all other digital electronics, as well as pure optical discs for recording digital content. The new tax is based on the German law of 1965.
